TerrifiCon - CT's Terrific Comic Con
The comic and sci-fi convention in Connecticut for fans of comic books and their creators, actors, films & television programs, pop-culture memorabilia, gaming, and cosplay is BACK at Mohegan Sun!

The Connecticut Gilbert and Sullivan Society
The Connecticut Gilbert and Sullivan Society performs the comic operettas of the British musical theater duo for the entertainment of audiences drawn from the local community and for comedy lovers from across the state. Founded in 1980, the group makes its home in Middletown, CT. Performances are in the fall, and done with professional orchestra, professional-caliber singers, costumes, and sets, at the Performing Arts Center, Valley Regional H.S., Deep River, CT.

The Connecticut Sun
The former WNBA Orlando Miracle franchise, The Connecticut Sun, was birthed in 2003. This is the first franchise in league history to be owned independently. Since then, The Sun has aquired some great names such as; Nykesha Sales, Shannon Johnson, Asjha Jones, Lindsey Whalen, Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Tina Charles.
With a five month game schedule, The Sun always draws a great crowd at their home games played at The Mohegan Sun Arena.

The Connecticut Tigers
The Connecticut Tigers are the Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers located at beautiful Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. Dodd Stadium provides numerous seating options ranging from premium sky box suites and private picnic areas to terrific views from premium and reserved box seats! The Tigers offer great season ticket options and affordable group rates. Connecticut Tigers Baseball… Hear the ROAR!

The Day
The Day Publishing Company, established in 1881 by John A. Tibbits, publishes The Day, a daily newspaper covering a 20-town region in eastern Connecticut with a daily and Sunday readership of nearly 100,000, and theday.com, a website generating more than 4 million page views a month.
The Day Publishing Company owns Shore Publishing, LLC, which publishes seven weekly community newspapers from East Haven to Old Saybrook, with a combined circulation of nearly 75,000. The company also owns The Times Community News Group, a group of eight weekly publications serving towns east of the Connecticut River to Pawcatuck, with a combined circulation of nearly 80,000.

The Granite Theatre
Described as the “Jewel of Southern Rhode Island”, The Granite Theatre is within walking distance of some of the states finest restaurants and a short distance from the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos and Mystic Seaport.
The theatre presents a mix of top notch Broadway comedies and musicals beginning in March and running through December. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings with Sunday matinees. Tickets for comedies are $19, seniors $16 and children 12 and under $12. Musicals are $22, seniors $19 and children 12 and under $15. A pre-show hors d'oeuvre buffet can be scheduled for any performance at an additional cost. For reservations, directions or other information call the box office Tuesday - Saturday from 2 - 5 p.m.

The Hill-Stead Museum
A National Historic Landmark, Hill-Stead Museum is a stop on the Connecticut Art Trail and a member of CT’s Historic Gardens. Collections include paintings by Monet, Degas, Manet, Whistler & Cassatt, Japanese woodblock prints and more, all displayed among original furnishings in an intimate family setting. 152-acre grounds include a 1-acre c. 1920 Sunken Garden, today the site of the acclaimed Sunken Garden Poetry Festival. The 1901 period rooms are open for tours Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm. Grounds are free and open to the public daily 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. The Sunken Garden Poetry Festival
Hill-Stead Museum’s Sunken Garden Poetry Festival, a “cultural phenomenon” in the words of former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins, brings some of the finest, most respected poets and musicians in the country to entertain people of all ages in the museum’s historic Sunken Garden. Al fresco dining is allowed; participants are welcome to bring their own picnic suppers or purchase food on site from Tallulah’s Catering. The Sunken Garden is wheelchair accessible.

The Preservation Society of Newport County
The Preservation Society of Newport County, Rhode Island's largest cultural organization, preserves and protects the best of Newport County's architectural heritage. Its 11 historic properties and landscapes - seven of which are National Historic Landmarks - trace America's architectural and social development from the Colonial era through the Gilded Age. In keeping with its mission, the Society strives to offer its members and the public a comprehensive view of each property's architecture, interiors, landscapes and social history.
