Two tickets to Centennial Concerto conducted by Eastern Connecticut Symphony

Eastern Connecticut Symphony opening concert 2012-2013 series, Saturday, October 20 at 8 PM, Garde Arts Center conducted by ECSO Music Director,Toshiyuki Shimada.  Dubbed the “Centennial Concerto” the concert features noted pianist Peter Frankl performing Brahms Concerto No. 2 for the 100th time. 

Mr. Frankl, a Steinway Artist, has enjoyed a long career during which he has played in all the great halls of the world under the baton of many famous conductors.  Kenneth Fuchs’, “Atlantic Riband” and Berlioz’s “Romeo & Juliet, Orchestral Selections” complete the evening’s program.

Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra

The Eastern Connecticut Symphony was founded in 1946 by Victor Norman.  Currently in its 66th season, the ECSO has had five music directors.  Toshiyuki Shimada, the current music director, was selected in 2009 from a field of 220 candidates from five continents.


The Eastern Connecticut Symphony organization serves the community, reaching children of pre-school age through senior citizens enjoying their golden years. Our music-in-the-schools programs are presented throughout the elementary schools, kindergarten through middle school, in New London, Groton and Norwich.


The mission of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Inc. (Symphony) is to enrich the cultural life of the region by performing high quality music and by conducting educational outreach programs.

One winner will be randomly chosen to receive two tickets to Centennial Concerto conducted by ECSO on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Garde Arts Center.  Winner's tickets will be held at the box office at the Garde Arts Center.

Drawing to take place on Monday, October 15, 2012.
